IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Geraldine
Moore
December 1, 1932 – January 19, 2012
The life of Geraldine Moore began on December 1, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois to Lillie Balim and Johnny Croft who preceded her in death. Geraldine was the third child of four children. She grew up in the heart of Chicago, which we called (Jew Town). She attended Smith Elementary School. She later worked as a shirt finisher in the laundry and cleaners business, and was great at doing domestic work. Geraldine was the mother of one son, Rufus Croft who preceded her in death. Sometime during the 1980s, Geraldine moved to White Cloud, Michigan to take care of her grandmother Irene Williams until her passing. She joined the public school in White Cloud and became a foster grandparent for 13 years, until her health failed and she was no longer able to serve. She professed her faith in Christ during her illness. The Lord called her home on January 19, 2012. She leaves to cherish her memories one sister, Marion Fields of Chicago, Illinois; one brother, Oneal (Babs) Croft of Grand Rapids, Michigan; one sister Irene Martin who preceded her in death; three grandchildren, Andrea Bond, Edward Croft, and Rufus Hemenway; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, including a special nephew Jordan (Sonya) Fields of Florida; and many special friends. The Lord gave her two special people who were there and stood by her side at all times, Henry and Sarah Cooley. Thanks a bunch! Geraldine, Gearld, Jerry was a fun and loving woman. Once youve met her you would never forget her. Geraldine was Geraldine. (smile) Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 12 noon at the Crandell Funeral Home in Whtie Cloud. There will be visitation at the funeral home 2 hours prior to the services. Interment will be in Big Prairie Cemetery.
