Gertrude Rose Ella Terwillegar, age 81 of White Cloud, passed away peacefully at her home following a long battle with Parkinsons Disease on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. Gert was born on May 26, 1931 in Big Rapids to Otto and Vesta (Kirchner) Fetterley and later graduated from Big Rapids High School. Gert married Otis C. Odie Terwillegar on September 9, 1950 in Big Rapids and Odie preceded her in death on March 10, 1996. She and Odie lived and worked on their dairy farm on Elm Street east of White Cloud until Odie passed away and Gert moved to her present home in the City of White Cloud. Gert loved spending time with her family, Michigan nature, reading and watching movies. Gert is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Keith Schuiteman) Terwillegar of Newaygo; her son, David (Janice) Terwillegar of White Cloud; 3 grandchildren, Chad (Dena) Terwillegar of Sparta; Toby (Kandi) Terwillegar of White Cloud; Michelle (Jose Marin) Schuiteman of Newport, Oregon; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; her brother, Jack Fetterley of Big Rapids; several nieces. Gert was preceded in death by her sisters, Maxine Williams and Juanita Brockelbank. Following Gerts long standing request, cremation will take place with no visitation or services. Interment will take place with her husband at Goodwell Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions are requested to the Michael J.
