Gladys Miller, age 85, of Fremont passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2003 , at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility. She was born on December 22, 1917 , in Fremont to Henry and Jennie (DeBoer) Deters and married Lyle Miller on October 30, 1946 , in Fremont . Gladys graduated from Fremont High School in 1936 and retired from Farm Credit Administration after over 31 years. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont . Gladys is survived by her sister, Jean (Alden) Sneller of Fremont; brother, Gerald (Dorothy) Deters of Grand Rapids; sisters-in-law, Eleanor (Donald) VanAntwerpen of Hudsonville and Rhea Bassett of Jenison; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by her husband Lyle on January 29, 2002 , and brother Jay Deters. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Petroelje officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery .
