Gladys O. Towne, age 76 of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Gladys was born on August 25, 1938 in Sand Lake to Morris and Ruth (Whitehouse) Chiverton and later married Floyd Towne on September 18 , 1954 in White Cloud. Gladys had worked for General Motors Company and later retired from Delphi in Coopersville in 2000 where she had been a production worker. Gladys had enjoyed fishing in her younger years, family canoe trips and camping, working in her flower garden and hummingbirds and always enjoyed reminiscing and looking at pictures of her family. Gladys is survived by her husband of 60 years, Floyd of White Cloud; her children, Laura Lee (Jack) Light of Montague; Mary Lou (Dave) Shafer of White Cloud; Gene (fianc, Julie) Towne of White Cloud; Glenn (Trudy) Towne of White Cloud; Sally (Steve) Mullennix of Fremont; Kathie (Randy) Inman of White Cloud 20 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; her sisters, Vera Brownell of Sand Lake; Judy Howe of Las Vegas, Nevada; several nieces and nephews. Gladys was preceded in death by her brother, Nick Chiverton VISITATION : Monday, January 19, 2015 from 4-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 11am at the White Cloud Church of God 1621 S Evergreen White Cloud INTERMENT : Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery.
