Trimm, Gladys E. Gladys E. Trimm, age 83 of Fremont, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2005 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Gladys was born on May 2, 1922 in Fremont to Carson and (Mary (Mahan) Bennett and married Earl W. Trimm on June 22, 1946 in Muskegon. Earl preceded her in death on November 24, 1998. Gladys had attended and graduated from the Western Michigan University and taught in the County Normal System for several years. She later owned and operated the Standard Oil Station in Fremont with her husband, Earl. She had been active in Newaygo County 4-H for many years, had been a tutor to many students in Fremont and had been a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Magnolia Chapter in Fremont for many years. She was also affiliated with the Fremont United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Leo) Sensabaugh of Farwell, Michigan; her grandson, Thomas Earl Sensabaugh of Johannesburg, Michigan; her sisters, Lucy Waters of Ionia; Stella Bradley of Rabbit Run, Pennsylvania; Maribeth (Dave) Soule of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; her brother, Carson (Alice) Bennett of Muncie, Indiana; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; by her sisters, Martha Mandrell; Grace Lorenz; Emma Jean Lewis; and by her brothers, Dr. James Bennett; Chuck Bennett. Private graveside services were held at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont. Friends may consider the Fremont Area Community Foundation for the M.S.U. Extension Endowment Fund for Newaygo County 4-H Programs or the Fremont Area District Library Childrens Department for memorial contributions in memory of Gladys.
