Glenn Dean Thompson, age 81, of White Cloud passed away on Friday, December 23, 2021, at home with his family by his side. Glenn was born on September 17, 1940, in White Cloud to Norman M. and Alvina Stella (Allers) Thompson and married Molly Bee Saum on November 30, 1992. Glenn enjoyed cutting wood, his John Deere tractor, deer hunting, and was a past president of the White Cloud Eagles. Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Molly; children, Glenda (Bunnie) Thompson of White Cloud, Dean Thompson of White Cloud, Carla (Billy) Carr of Florida, Rhonda Thompson White Cloud, Amy (Matt) Bordeaux of Fremont, and Jodi (Dennis) Cosby of Florida; grandchildren, Khristopher (Samatha) Bordeaux, Branden (Mallorry) Bordeaux, Trenton (Abby) Bordeaux, Michael Cosby, Andrew Cosby, D.J. (Jill) Thompson, and Billy Carr; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Loretta Olesczcuk, Jean Hecksel, Daniel Thompson, and Gordon (Diane) Thompson; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Bruce (Kris) Saum; and his dogs Ben and Bitty. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Bea Fitzgerald, Hazel Luedeman, Elsie Tanis, Elanore Thompson, Lois Pietila, Norman Thompson Jr., Martin "Jay" Thompson; and his beagle hunting buddy T.J. Our journey through End Stage Kidney Disease and dialysis took a village. A very special thank you to Alicia and Ozzie LaPonsie, my special neighbors the Katters, the Bordeaux family, the Newaygo County Commission on Aging (they rock!), Mark Holbrook for keeping our driveway cleared, Jim Hilbrandt & Ramona and medical staff at Grant Medical. Also, a big thank you to my office the District Health Department #10 for allowing me to care for Glenn and still work and to Davita Dialysis in Fremont. Glenn and I thank you from the bottom of our heart. We could not have done it without you. A Celebration of Life for Glenn will be held from 2 – 4PM on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the White Cloud Eagles. Interment and graveside services will be held at Big Prairie Cemetery in June of 2022.
