Glenn A. Ward, age 87, of Fremont, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2009, at Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont. He was born on June 10, 1921, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Ralph and Rose (Fisher) Ward and married Sharon Kronewitter in 1967 in Muskegon. Glenn was a salesman, Army Veteran of WWII, and life member of Newaygo VFW Post 4249. Glenn is survived by his wife, Sharon of Fremont; son, Glenn (Missy) Ward of Fremont; step-children, Bill (Betty Ann) Kiester of Fremont, Bob (Sheryl Shotts) Kiester of Fremont, Mike (Diane) Kiester of Fremont, Greg (Kelly) Kiester of Fremont, Tim Kiester of Georgia, and Randy Kiester of South Carolina; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Dale and Ollie; and sister LaRue. Burial and military honors were held at 2 PM on Friday, April 24, 2009, at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek.
