Gloria Lapworth, age 70 of White Cloud passed Tuesday, October 9, 2001 at her home. She was born on November 27, 1930 in Detroit to Edward and Pauline (Rutsky) Lebedeff and married Gerald Lapworth in 1948. Gerald preceded her in death on December 5, 1993. She has been a resident of the White Cloud area since 1994 when she moved from Detroit and had been a waitress for several years. She is survived by her children, Terri (Milo) Amundson of Newaygo; Michael "Mike" (Jennifer) Lapworth of White Cloud; Larry (Maria) Lapworth of Detroit; Kevin Lapworth of Freesoil; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sisters, Nina Lapworth, Carol Carian, and Jeanne Benidict. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; daughter, Linda; sons, Mark and Scott and brother Jerry. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 12, 2001 from the 7th Day Baptist Church with Rev. Bernie Wethington presiding with interment in the White Cloud Cemetery.
