Gordon Nickolas Bills, age 83, of Hesperia passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Gordon was born on June 25, 1934, in Oceana County to Nickolas and Lois Isabelle (Sutherland) Bills. Gordon worked as a sawmill operator and was an avid reader. He had a large collection of books and many say books were his life.

Gordon is survived by his brother and sisters, Wayne Bills of Hesperia, W. Kathleen (Lawrence) Mock of Fremont, Marian Bills of Baldwin, and Sharon (Beauford) Perry of Hesperia. He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Bills; brother, Gary D. Bills; and sister-in-law, Bonnie Bills.

Services will be held at 11 am, on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at the Hesperia Baptist Church with Rev. William Blount officiating with interment in West Hesperia Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation with the family from 10 – 11 am prior to the service. For a more lasting memorial, friends may consider the Hesperia Community Library.
