Phillips, Grace Grace M. Phillips, age 86 of White Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 29, 2003 in Phoenix , Arizona at her daughter, Marilyn Keipers home. She was born on April 30, 1916 in White Cloud to James William and Anna Marie (Hoppa) Thompson and married Dwight Phillips on May 15, 1934 in White Cloud. Dwight preceded her in death on July 24, 1990 . She has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area where she had been a homemaker, gardener and wonderful mother and friend to many. She was also a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in White Cloud. She is survived by her children, Dolores (Jack) Barnhill of White Cloud; Marilyn Keiper of Phoenix, Arizona; LeRoy (Mary) Phillips of White Cloud; Sandra (James) Albright of Grand Haven; Anna (Rick) Foster of White Cloud; Gloria (Everett) Rein of Ridge Creek, California; 49 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; daughter-in-law, Shelby (Don) Pape; many nieces and nephews. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight on July 24, 1990; her infant daughter, Mary Ann in 1939; infant son, Stephen in 1935; infant son, James 1936; son Dwight Riley Phillips 1970; grand daughter, Debra Chupp in 2001; son-in-law, John Keiper in March 16, 2003; her sister, Ida Allen; her brothers, Riley Thompson & Kenneth Thompson. Funeral services were held on Monday, April 7, 2003 from the Christ Lutheran Church in White Cloud with Rev. Richard Hoogerhyde presiding with interment in the Sherman Township Cemetery .
