Having twelve years differance in age and you spending a career in the United States Air Force. You left home for the service when I was just six years old and you being gone for twenty years certainly contributed to that. My old roomates and I were always greatful to you and Marianne for letting us live in your home in Lansing just prior to your military retirement. A bunch of twenty somethings with little money basically getting a free ride..........much appreciated. My condolences go out to your wife and kids, our sister, other brothers, and extended famly. To the family.........Harold, Jr. or Doc...whatever we called him, he is now in a much better place. Your Brother Tom posted July 17, 2007 Harold was a wonderful person his charm came from deep inside. One fond memory I have is from several years ago Harold was to bring his car to the Bitely Homecoming Parade for the president of Zonta (me) to ride in. However, rain prevented him from bringing the car. He was truly disappointed and was barely able to tell me that we wouldnt be able to use his car. Although we found alternate transportation, I know deep down, that he wanted to show off his pride for both the car and Zonta. He was a true Zontian caring and generous. We will miss the second to every vote to adjourn. To the family, we are truly sorry for your loss please let us know if we can do anything at all. We will keep your family in our prayers.
