Thatcher, Harold E. Harold E. Thatcher, age 76 of White Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 4, 2005 at the St. Marys Hospital in Grand Rapids. Harold was born on March 28, 1929 in Moline, Illinois to Charles and Clara (Boham) Thatcher and later married Barbara A. Goyings on June 26, 1954 in Moline, Illinois. Harold was a graduate of White Cloud High School and had been a carpenter for Cruzan Brothers, Gordon Baumunk and had worked for the Newaygo County Road Commission until his retirement. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was an active member in the White Cloud United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara of White Cloud; his children, Diana (Randy) Stromquist of Grant; Joe (Lydia) Thatcher of White Cloud; Gregory Thatcher of White Cloud; Scott (Angie) Thatcher of White Cloud; 7 grandchildren; Jack & Niki Matych; Heather Stromquist; Kacy & Joe Thatcher Jr.; Kristin & Kyler Thatcher; his brothers and sisters, Kay (Robert) Duncan of Moline, Illinois; Dale (Eleanor) Thatcher of Grant; Phyllis Crawford of Greenville; Bud (Barb) Thatcher of White Cloud; Kenny Thatcher and special friend, Jo. He was preceded in death by his sister, Aileen Ford. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 from the White Cloud United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Bowman of the White Cloud United Methodist Church presiding with interment in the White Cloud Cemetery. Friends may consider the Harold E.
