Harry D. Cooley, age 66 of Blue Lake Township, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at his home following a lingering illness. Harry was born on June 11, 1952 in Muskegon to James and Lyla (Wiggins) Cooley and later married Robin "Sue" Barchak on June 10, 1972 at the St. James Catholic Church in Montague. Harry has been a lifelong resident of the area and had worked as a forklift driver at CMI in Montague until his retirement. Harry enjoyed fishing, building derby cars for his son and son-in-law, tinkering at home, camping and loved his animals. He had been a grandpa to many neighborhood kids and had built his own tow truck and was well known to many in the area to help them pull their trucks out of the mud holes. Harry is survived by his wife, Robin "Sue" Cooley of Holton; his children, Lora Cooley (Tim) of Whitehall; Harry (Katrina) Cooley of Holton; his former son-in-law, Walter Udell; his grandchildren, Brentten Udell; Luke Strandberg, Miranda (Josh) Udell, Derek Cooley; his sister and brothers, Audrey (Al) Marriott of Indian River; Donald (Debbie) Cooley of Whitehall; Frank (Patty) Cooley of Dalton; sisters-in-laws, Toni Barchak; Martha (Roger) Collis) Patricia Cooley; several nieces and nephews. Harry was preceded in death by his sister and brothers, Marlene Beecham; James "Jim" Cooley II; Robert "Bob" Cooley; William "Bill" Cooley.
