Harry H. Schultz, age 84 of Fremont, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Harry was born on July 2, 1934 in Sanborn Township, Alpena County to Herman and Erika (Hammermeister) Schultz. Harry served as a medic in the United States Army during the post Korean era. Harry met and later married Joanna Starlin on June 30, 1963 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Fremont. Harry had been a carpenter in Detroit and after his marriage moved to Fremont where he worked at Shaw Walker –Knoll Group in Muskegon as an upholsterer until his retirement in 1996. Harry has been an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Fremont since 1963 where he had served as Elder, Deacon and Board Member for several years, enjoyed woodworking, playing the harmonica and accordion, being in the Michigan outdoors, photography, his cats and his German Heritage. Harry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joanna of Fremont; his children and grandchildren, Rodney (Barbara) Schultz of Muskegon; Bryce Schultz and his children, Caleb, Alyssa and Grayson of Sparta; Erika Walker and her children, Chase and Hayden of Harrison, Tennessee; his sisters, Betty Meggert of Spruce, Michigan; Evelyn Peck of Canton, Georgia; Erna (Glen) Bliss of Canton, Georgia.
