King, Harvey Gerald Fremont Harvey G. King, age 89, of Fremont passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2004. He was born on March 28, 1914, in Fremont and was the son of Harvey & Nettie (Davis) King. Gene married Emma Jean Kuhart and lived most of his life in the Fremont area, owning and operating several businesses, the Kim Bark Inn, Sanitary Cleaners, and the Tastee Freeze. He also worked at Gerber Products Company. He spent many enjoyable years on Beaver Island working with Island Airways and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Fremont Lodge #1555. Harvey will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 67 years, Emma; children, Patricia Robins and Mike (Mary) King; grandsons, Kevin (Kathy) Robins, Mark (Sue) Robins, John (friend Amy) Robins and Christopher (Melissa) Welke; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and sister Eleanor. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Ellen Welke. Cremation has taken place, and at Harveys request there were no services.
