Hawk Connor Maddox, age 16 of Hawkins, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at his home. Hawk was born on September 10, 2003 in Grand Rapids to Cheryl Sterling and Gregory Lee Maddox and was a 9th grade student at Reed City Public Schools and formerly a student at Crossroad Charter Academy. Hawk enjoyed hunting, fishing, video gaming, and enjoyed learning and had a vast knowledge of guns. Hawk was a member of the Paris United Methodist Church.
Hawk is survived by his mother, Cheryl Sterling of Hawkins; his sister, Nikota (Cody) Mottin of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; his maternal grandparents, Don and Linda Sterling of Hawkins; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Greg Maddox on June 28, 2016 and by his grandparents, James and Doris Maddox.
VISITATION : Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 4-5pm at the Big Rapids First United Methodist Church 304 Elm Street Big Rapids MI 49307 with FUNERAL SERVICES : Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 5pm at the Big Rapids First United Methodist Church. INTERMENT : Merrill Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : To the Spectrum Health Foundation for the Helen Devos Childrens Hospital.
