Hazel Irene Atwater, age 92 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, March 18, 2005 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont . Hazel was born on February 27, 1913 in Walkerville , Michigan to Louis and Jennie (Doug) Milner and later married James William Atwater on April 2, 1949 in Muskegon . She moved to the White Cloud area in 1949 from Muskegon . She had been a homemaker and enjoyed ceramics and was a member of the Croton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her children, Evelyn Rose (Charles) Dore of White Cloud; James Fred (Linda) Atwater of White Cloud; James (Henrietta) Mead of Hart; Paul Lewis (Marie) Mead of Melvern, Arkansas; Verna Jean Lavender of Washington; her grandsons, Jeff & Chris Atwater; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Atwater on February 18, 1981 and by her sisters, Zelma Austin and Lottie Funeral Services were held on Monday, March 21, 2005 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Rev. Arnold Guikema of the Big Prairie Community Church presiding with interment in the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery .
