Hazel M. Fowler, age 93 of White Cloud passed away Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Hazel was born on December 12, 1916 in Newaygo County to Charles V. and Myrtle E. (Thebo) Fry and graduated from White Cloud High School. Hazel married William A. Fowler on June 10, 1939 in White Cloud and William preceded her in death on January 17, 1975. Hazel had been the Register with the Newaygo County Probate Court Office for many years until her retirement. Hazel was a active member of the White Cloud United Methodist Church and had enjoyed camping, Christmas Teas and entertaining in her home. Hazel also enjoyed traveling with her sister and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Hazel is survived by her daughter, Carol (Jack) Long of Newaygo; her grandchildren, Belinda (Neil) Eerdmans; Eric (Barb) Nelson; Bill (Heather) Nelson; Kristin Long; Jason (Julie) Long; 8 great grandchildren; son-in-law, George (Sabbina) Nelson of Cedar Springs; her sister, Florence Whitcomb of Denver, Colorado. Hazel was preceded in death by her daughter, Kay Nelson; her sisters, Marjorie Fry Beeler, Laura Burke Babcock, Mabel Fry and her brothers, Norman Fry, Louis Fry, Lloyd Fry, and Robert Fry. VISITATION : Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 12:30 2pm at the White Cloud United Methodist Church. FUNERAL SERVICES : Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 2pm at the White Cloud United Methodist Church.
