Adkins, Hazel aka Rosella Evelyn Groh Hazel Adkins, aka, Rosella Groh, age 85 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, December 30, 2005 at the Metron Nursing Center in Big Rapids. Hazel was born on July 13, 1920 in Ishpeming, Michigan to Wesley Earl and Ida (Dalbeck) Bower and later moved to the Ecourse and River Rouge area of Michigan. She married Floyd Phillip Groh and he preceded her in death. She later married Ralph Adkins. Hazel had worked as a cab driver in Ecourse and River Rouge and later moved to the Bridgeton area where she owned a party store, had been a cook in Newaygo and Twin Lake. She was a Life Member of the Newaygo V.F.W., a member of the White Cloud Eagles Aerie Post #4170, member of AARP, and had been active at the Commission on Aging in White Cloud. She is survived by her children, William W. Groh of Manistique; Phyllis Wakefield of White Cloud; Rose Anne Smith of California; Mary Adams of White Cloud; Floyd Anderson of Indiana; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; her sister, Donna McKenzie of Munising; brother, Walter Bower of Munising; brothers, Steve Demogalia of Munising; Andy Demogalia of Hesperia. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucille Bower, Mary Ross; Loretta Stone; her brothers, Joel Bower and Tom Bower. Funeral memorial services were held on Thursday, January 5, 2006 from the White Cloud Eagles Aerie Post #4170 in White Cloud with interment in Manistique, Michigan.
