Johnson, Helen L. Helen L. Johnson, age 82 of White Cloud and formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2000 at her home. She was born on November 18, 1917 to Silas and Lydia (Rosenberry) Lavender and married Richard D. Johnson on February 15, 1937 in Grand Rapids. Richard preceded her in death on December 8, 1988. She has been a resident of the White Cloud area for the past 10 years where she had been a homemaker and had been active in the Foster Grandparent Program in the White Cloud Public Schools for those years. She is survived by her children, Donald (Nancy) Johnson of Bitely; Roberta (James) Tuffelmire of Sumter, South Carolina; Arlie J. (Sharon) Johnson of Bitely; Edward (Debbie) Johnson of Croton; Larry (Kris) Johnson of Wyoming; Jana (Phillip) Vincent of Bitely; Gary (Debbie) Johnson of Marne; 19 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren. Funeral graveside services were held at the Rosedale Memorial Park in Walker. Friends may consider Hospice of Newaygo County Endowment Fund at the Fremont Area Foundation for memorial contributions.
