Helen V. Weisneck, age 70 of Newaygo, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at her home. Helen was born on December 10, 1942 in Camden, New Jersey to Alonzo and Ruth (Michaels) Sulzman and later moved to the Fremont area from New Jersey in 1972. Helen had worked at Gerber Products Company as a financial services representative for 28 years until her retirement. Helen was an active member of the All Saints Catholic Church where she was an integral part of the church womens groups. Helen had served as the church youth leader and leader of RCIA. She had served as secretary, vice president and president of the Council of Catholic Women, had served on the All Saints Catholic Church Diaconal Council for several years and was active in the Womens World Day of Prayer. Helen had also been a mentor and host at the Fremont Public Schools; had served as coordinator of the St. Judes Bike-A-Thon for 13 years and had been a volunteer at the True North Food Pantry. Helen is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Weisneck of New York, New York; her sister, Sophie (Frank) Zoelar of North Carolina; her brothers, Barney (Lynette) Sulzman of Bellflower, California; Ted (Cheryl) Gebhart Jr. of Bellflower, California; Bob (Gwen) Gebhart of California; and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her son, Tom Weisneck Jr. in 1997 and by her sister, Jeannette Bazzett in 2001. VISITATION : Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 5-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel 7193 W 48th Street Fremont MI 49412. ROSARY SERVICES : Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 7pm at the funeral home. MASS OF RESSURECTION : Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 11am at the All Saints Catholic Church 500 Iroquois, Fremont, Michigan 49412. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the True North Food Pantry or the All Saints Catholic Church Building Fund.
