Helen V. Westcott, age 90 of Grand Rapids, formerly of White Cloud, passed away Friday, September 24, 2004 at the Heartland Greenview Nursing Home in Grand Rapids following a short illness. Helen was born the oldest of 6 children on May 1, 1914 in White Cloud to Herbert and Edna (Ennis) Anderson and later married Arthur L. Westcott Sr. on October 4, 1936 in White Cloud. Arthur preceded her in death on August 24, 1967. Helen had lived in the Hardy Dam area for many years, she later moved to the city of White Cloud and eventually to her daughters home in Grand Rapids in 1993. She had been a homemaker and was a lifelong member of the White Cloud Church of God Church in White Cloud and had enjoyed quilting and spent much time praying for people in her church and her many friends. She is survived by her children, Arthur (Judy) Westcott Jr. of Newaygo; Perry Westcott of Laconia, New Hampshire; Sharon (Ray Gornowich) Trudell of Grand Rapids; 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; her sisters, Alice of Ohio; Marie of Battle Creek; Peg of Grand Rapids; and Terry of Arizona; special friend Theresa Gornowich of Grand Rapids; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stacey Trudell; great grandson, Scott Trudell; daughter-in-law, Barb Westcott; brother Charles, and sister Frances. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 from the White Cloud Church of God with Rev. Michael Bayer presiding with interment in the Big Prairie Everett Twp. Cemetery.
