Helene Frens, age 90 of Fremont, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility. Helene was born on February 21, 1922 in Garfield Township to Albert and Cornelia Kate (Blaauw) Frens and has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont area where she was a lifelong member of the Reeman Christian Reformed Church. Helene had been a bookkeeper at Lubke Hardware, Heyboer Motors and retired from Vern Wright Automotive in Fremont. Helene was well known for her flower garden and enjoyed growing everything and enjoyed her dogs through the years. Helene is survived by her brother, Al (Betty) Frens of Fremont; several nieces and nephews. Helene was preceded in death by her brothers, Harvey and Bernard. VISITATION : Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 12:30 2pm with FUNERAL SERVICES at 2pm at the Reeman Christian Reformed Church in Fremont. INTERMENT : Reeman Cemetery.
