Helene passed comfortably on to the throne of grace after a short illness at age 90. Those waiting for her in heaven, are a 1000 generations of family, of strong God loving committed Christians (Deuteronomy 7:9) and what a reunion it is! The most anticipated, her mother Marie, twin sister Joanne, husband Stu and daughter Kimberly. Helene is survived by her sister Bea (Bud) Van Eck and many others from her VanHeest family, 4 children and their families: Todd and Rita Noordyk family of 10, Don and Delinda Noordyk family of 23, Susan and Brian Hicks family of 8, Mary and Brian Stuck family of 5.

Between raising her family, being a pastors wife, a piano teacher and radio station owner, or working as a professor at GVSU and Christian therapist, Helene had many opportunities to positively affect peoples lives. Her focus was always Christ centered. That is how she would want to be remembered. She would want you, as a reader of today's news, to not be sad but rather make this day count by reflecting on your world and the personal choice you've made on where you will spend eternity. Life is the platform in which we make our choice for all of eternity. Mom would say, please do all you can to love the living, be gracious and generous, because all too soon you will be gone and waiting on the other side.

The funeral service will be private. Family & Friends are invited to be our guest for visitation and lite lunch from 11am to 1pm, Saturday March 1, 2025 at Inspire Church, located at 918 Garden Ave. Fremont, Mi 49412.
