Helene Sorensen Rohlmeier, age 85 of Hesperia, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2001. She was born on March 1, 1916 in Onamia, Minnesota to Andrew and Marie (Simonsen) Sorensen and married Roland Rohlmeier in 1935. She had been a clothing store owner and operated Helenes Stores in the Chicago Area until her retirement. She later moved to the Hesperia Area in 1989 where she enjoyed gardening, reading and her cats. Helene is survived by her sister, Rose Collins of Arizona; several nieces and nephews in Michigan and Arizona. Helene was preceded in death by her husband, Roland; her son Roland William; 1 sister and several brothers. Interment was in the Mount Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, Illinios next to her husband and son. Friends may consider the Fremont Area Community Foundation Endowment Fund for Commission On Aging Meals On Wheels Program for memorial contributions.
