Henrietta Gilmore, age 87, of Fremont passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Henrietta was born on March 6, 1928, in South Bend, Indiana, to Steven and Ethel (Randolph) Szabo. As a child, with family she moved to Detroit where she went to high school and later nursing school at Womens Hospital. In 1949 she married Cleave Gilmore and together they moved to Newaygo County in the mid 50s and raised two sons, Charles Myers and John Gilmore. Henrietta devoted her life to family and nursing at Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont from 1956 to her retirement in 1989, after 33 year of service. After retirement she continued to serve the community working part time for many years at Fountain View Retirement Village in Fremont. She is survived by her sons, Charles (Vicki) Myers of Newaygo and John Gilmore of Fremont; grandchildren, CJ, Dustin, Myra, and Max; great grandchildren, Lyra, Jax, and Kiara. She was preceded by her husband, Cleave on May 26, 1978, and her brother, Steven Szabo Jr.. There will be no services at this time. Interment will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.
