IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Henry
Roossinck
January 23, 1924 – January 19, 2007
Roossinck, Henry Henry Roossinck age 82 years old, departed to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, Jan.19, 2007. Born in Reeman, MI on Jan. 23, 1924, he lived his entire life in the Fremont area. A well-known dairy and fruit farmer and operated the farm and the Roossinck Fruit Storage with his brother John for many years, along with his two nephews Ralph and John Roossinck. He will be greatly missed by his wife Lydia, his daughter and son-in-law Ruth and Joseph Smith of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, his grandchildren Christie (Ross) Wilkin, Greg (Karin) Smith, and Andrew (Linsey) Smith, and great-grandchildren Katie, Cameron, Sophie, and James Wilkin, Conrad Smith, and Maxwell and Mya Smith; his sister Helen Timmins of Richland, WA; and his brother John of Fremont. He was much loved by many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Preceded in death by his sisters, Minnie, Emma, Dora, and Elsie. Dad will be fondly remembered for his kind spirit, his generosity, and his Christian character and faith in Christ. We could not have asked for a better example to follow. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15 Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Janaury 23, 2007 from the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont with Mr. Leo Renaud presiding with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont. Neither Mother nor I had heard it before and it was such a comfort. I just wrote the above lines from memory. You were always such a joy to your parents; I remember you and your father playing duets on the piano and organ. That was grand! You and Joe have been such a consistent help to your parents. Now your hands will feel empty for a while. Our love and prayers in memory of your father. We often enjoyed the company of our dear brother on our visits to Fremont. We will miss him. Our love and prayers for dear Lydia and Ruth and Joe and the rest of the family. Bob and Barb Thonney Dear Ones In The Roossink Family, The Psalmist David said in: Psalm 27:4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. Heaven is the home of every true Christian, and while one cannot ever be "sorry" that someone is there, it is certainly understandable to miss the close relationship that existed while here on this earth. Like a loved one going away on a long trip somewhere here on earth, we feel the tearing away when they leave and we are filled with sorrow. Then we dry our tears and wait and look forward to seeing them again, when they return from their trip. Those of us who know the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, know by the word of God, we will see our saved loved ones again. Though we sorrow we do not sorrow as the lost do. We soon are able to dry our tears and wait for their return with the Lord in the clouds where we will meet them again There is real victory in Jesus, now and in the future! What comfort there is in the words the apostle Paul wrote in 1 Thess. 4: 13 - 18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we, which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. What a wonderful assurance we have in knowing the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior! For we know that if we depart this scene it is but to go to be with Christ. He is The Resurrection and the Life. What an amazing and wondrous thing it will be, to see the Lord Jesus face to face. The Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 1:23 - For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: The gospel preacher D. L. Moody said: "Some day you will read in the papers that D.L. Moody, of East Northfield, is dead. Don't you believe a word of it! At that moment I shall be more alive than I am now. I shall have gone up higher that is all-out of this old clay tenement and soon into a house that is immortal; a body that death cannot touch, that sin cannot taint, a body fashioned like unto his glorious body. I was born of the flesh in 1837. I was born of the Spirit in 1856. That which is born of the flesh may die. That which is born of the Spirit will live forever." Soon and very soon we will all see our Saviour face to face and see our loved ones who got there ahead of us. May God bless and keep you all as you face this very real tearing away. You have our love and prayers as beloved ones in Christ. With Christ Far Better With Love In Christ, Sam & Zebo Ludvicek Safe in the arms of Jesus, but missed by so many here. How we long to be with and like Christ. We're waiting for that wonderful reunion too, meanwhile "Jesus wept". Lovingly, Frank and Lois Vander Hart Sorrow Looks back Worry Looks around Faith Looks up To Lydia and the family, Dear brother Henry will always be remembered for his cheerful words and ever ready scripture text. What better way to be remembered. He shared what he valued most, his Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. Eternity will declare the many hearts that were touched by his faithfulness. Although we did not have the opportunity to see him in the last year or so, we were touched by the report of his seeming awareness of the Lord near by waiting to take him into His presence. While he will be missed by many, we rejoice in the realization that He is ". . . with Christ which is far better." We send our love and condolences at this time with the portion given to Joshua after being told that Moses was no longer in their presence,". . . I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage." Our love and prayers will continue, Norm & Lois Hiebert It is with sorrow we learned of your fathers passing, Ruth, but what joy his is experiencing now in the presence of our Lord and Saviour. Your parents always had an open heart and home to us as young people when visiting there. We are praying for you, your family and the extended Roosinck family at this timeperhaps today we will all be in His presence! Doug and Sue Dods We're thankful for good memories of visits with Henry and Lydia in Fremont, also we think of you, Joe and Ruth, and also Ross and Christie (can it possibly be almost 18 years since those weeks in Manila). May you have a special sense of God's love and favor during these days! Gary and Peggy Nielsen Columbus, Ohio For Lydia, Psalm 18 He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies... thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. ...It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. With love, Pearl
