Obituary

Henry E. Stoneburner Jr., age 80 of Hesperia, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at the Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont following a short illness. Henry was born on August 29, 1932 in South Bend, Indiana to Henry E. and Mildred Irene (Niblick) Stoneburner Sr. and later married Leona Beane on October 17, 1953 in Nappanee, Indiana. Henry had worked as a machinist for Bendix Inc. in South Bend, Indiana for 30 years until his retirement in 1982. Henry and Leona moved to the Hesperia area in September 1998 from Bremen, Indiana and attended Aetna Calvary Church. Henry had enjoyed raising and racing homing pigeons, working with stained glass and wood crafts, building and flying remote control airplanes and had enjoyed fishing. Henry was a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the United States Army and was a life member of the V.F.W. Henry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Leona of Hesperia; his daughter, Betty (Gary) Berggren of Hesperia; his grandchildren, Tammy (Donald) Dickeson; Heather (Brian) Reathaford; Jacquelyn (Tim) Puzzuto; Rochelle Harden; Elizabeth Wise; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; his brothers, Richard (Carol) Stoneburner of Plymouth, Indiana; Robert (Linda) Stoneburner of Plymouth, Indiana. Henry was preceded in death by his infant sister, Irene Stoneburner. MEMORIAL SERVICES : Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 12pm at the Aetna Calvary Church with Pastor Phil Jones presiding and military rites given by the Hesperia American Legion.
