Thompson, Herbert A. Herbert A. Thompson, age 74 of White Cloud, formerly of Davison, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at his home. He was born on November 24, 1928 in Parma , Missouri and later married his wife of 57 years, Opal in Poplar Bluff , Missouri . Herbert moved to the White Cloud area in 1997 from Davison where he had owned and operated the Overhead Door Company of Flint for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and gentleman farming at his home. He is survived by his wife Opal of White Cloud; his children, Danny Thompson of White Cloud; James (Kathie) Thompson of Clio; Nora Mitchell of Davison; Carol Thompson of White Cloud; 6 grandchildren, Kim, Steve, David, Lee Jr., Jennifer, Randy; 8 great grandchildren; his brother, Homer Thompson of St. Charles , MO. He was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Thompson. Special thank you to R.C. and Flo Cosby for their assistance. Funeral services were held on Friday, May 30, 2003 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Pastor Mark Lofquist of the Holton Free Methodist Church presiding with interment in the Sherman Township Cemetery .
