Herman R. Davis Jr., age 75 of Holton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 19, 2022 at his home. Herman was born on December 6, 1947 in Lansing to Herman Davis and Lila (Wilde) Davis Sr. and gradated from Sexton High School in Lansing. Herman met and later married Edith Callihan on October 12, 1967 in Lansing. Herman had been a tool and die maker at Demmer Corporation in Lansing for many years until his retirement. Herman was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Fremont, enjoyed hunting, was a lifelong fisherman and truly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Herman is survived by his wife of 55 years, Edith of Holton; his children, Bill Davis of Holton; Candy (Rick) Perkins of Newaygo; 6 grandchildren, Jonathon (Paige) Halasinski of Altoona, Alabama; Amanda (Bryan) Wiggers of Fremont; Tyler (Codie) Halasinski of Howard City; Damien Davis of Holton; Johanna Olney of Holton; Janell Onley of Holton; 8 great grandchildren; his sister, Jenny (Terry) Gilding of Florida; Jim (Gayle) Davis of Fremont; several nieces and nephews. Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Herman R. and Lila Davis Sr.; and his nephew, Mike Bailey. MEMORIAL SERVICES : Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11am at the Faith Baptist Church 7729 W. 48th Street Fremont MI 49412 with luncheon and time of fellowship to follow at the church.
