Obituary

Hermine L. Packingham, age 74 of Holton, passed away Friday, July 12, 2002 at her home. She was born on March 19, 1928 in Holton to Herman Palmer and Beyetta Marion (Bernier) Huntoon and married Donald Robert Packingham on July 17, 1946 in Crowne Point, Indiana. Donald preceded her in death on January 28, 1981. She has been a lifelong resident of the Holton area where she was affiliated with the Holton United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Muskegon Motorcycle Club; Holton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary; and avid bingo player. SURVIVORS : her children, Ruth Ann (Dan) Jacobsen of Holton; Kay (Butch) White of Huntsville, TN; Michael Packingham of Holton; Emma Lou (John) Mottashed of Fremont; Denise (David) Grubbs of Sikeston, MO; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sisters-in-laws, Delores Huntoon of Muskegon; Rose Huntoon of Holton; Sybil Packingham of Muskegon; Ethel Ann Marko and Ted Heckenberg of Saginaw; Lorraine (Dick) Grillow of Grand Haven; brother-in-law, Russell D. (Barb) Packingham of Florida; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Louis and Bernie Huntoon. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July16, 2002 from the Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery in Holton. Friends may consider the Holton United Methodist Church Building Fund or Muskegon County Hospice for memorial contributions.
