Howard Frank Cook, age 82, of Newaygo passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at his home. Howard was born on March 26, 1940, in Detroit to Gordon John and Arline Threase (Meyers) Cook and later married Susan Rae Hackenberg on September 7, 1996, in Kentwood. Howard had worked as a Commercial Class C Transport Specialist for over 25 years licensed in Michigan. Howard enjoyed fishing for walleye, gardening, and watching the many wild animal friends on their property. He enjoyed traveling with Susan with several memorable trips including to Alaska, Yellowstone National Park, and Hawaii. Howard was a life member of the Livonia United Lodge #152 F.& A. M. Howard is survived by his loving wife, Susan; his children, Robert (Margaret) Cook of Dearborn Heights, Kelly Lovett of Livonia, and Sherry (Dominic) Moceri of Pickney; grandchildren, Dominic, Angie, Samantha, Krystal, and Amanda; and several special friends. He was preceded in death by his sons, Randy Cook and Michael Walden; brother, Gordon Cook; and sister, Denice Hillman. Services will be on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 3 PM at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. There will be visitation starting at 1 PM prior to the service. Interment will be at 1 PM on Thursday, July 7, at Acacia Park Cemetery in Beverly Hills, Michigan.
