IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Hunter Scott
Wilson
January 22, 2008 – June 22, 2025
With deepest sorrow, we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved grandson, son, brother, and friend, Hunter Scott Wilson, age 17, who left this world far too soon on June 22, 2025. Born on January 22, 2008 in Muskegon, Michigan, Hunter brought kindness and happiness into the world from the very beginning. Born with an adventurous spirit and a kind heart, he lived every day with intention, energy, and happiness.
A rising senior at Reeths-Puffer High School, whether he was spending time with friends, training at the vocational center for a future career in the trades, or turning a wrench under the hood of his beloved pickup truck, Hunter poured himself into everything he did. He was determined to forge his own way and had a strong work ethic that belied his age—always ready to lend a hand or push through a challenge. Whether it was helping out at home on the farm, tackling a job, or supporting a friend, Hunter could always be counted on. He found joy in simple things—greasy hands from truck repairs, country roads with windows down and music up, riding dirt bikes with friends, fishing with his mom, and spending time with his beloved girlfriend, Makayla. Hunter was loyal, the first to laugh with you, and there for people when times were hard.
Hunter had a close connection with his friends, who were more like family. He was friends with everyone he met and would help anyone he could. Hunter is survived by his loving grandparents, Ryan and Teressa Wilson, father, Luka Wilson, and a wide circle of family and friends who cherished him deeply. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jessica Hess. His absence at such a young age leaves a space that can never be filled, but his memory will live on in the stories we tell and the kindness we share. His heart was big, and his circle of friends was even bigger. Hunter's family continues to take solace in the support and community his friends have extended during this immense time of grief.
They have hope and comfort that his friends will continue to grow in his absence and be stewards to the community.
A celebration of Hunter's life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the Wilson Centennial Farm at 2030 Scenic Drive in Muskegon from 3pm-6pm. Friends and family are invited to bring memories and stories to share as we honor a young life that, though brief, was full of happiness. He will be missed more than words can say.
