Ida Mae Beattie, age 78, of Holton passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at her home. Ida was born on June 15, 1937, in Hart to Earl Edward and Ella Lillian Blanche (Clark) Pider and married John "Jack" G. Beattie on December 31, 1973. Ida worked on the farm most of her life and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and word searches. Ida is survived by her children, Roxanne (Carey) Hill of Hart, and Angela Jean Boylan of Hesperia; step-children, Don Beattie of Holton, Gerald (Diane) Beattie of Holton, and Debbie (Randy) Dahlquist of Muskegon; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister Jean M. Manor of Hesperia. She was preceded by her husband, John Jack G. Beattie in 2001; and brothers, Calvin L. Pider and Crrie L. Pider. Services are pending at this time and will be announced soon.
