Ida May Harris, age 91 of White Cloud, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Ida was born on December 9, 1926 in Saginaw to Alex and Della (Gage) Dumont and later married Elden James Harris on August 3, 1972 in White Cloud. Eldon preceded her in death on May 15, 1999. Ida has been a resident of the White Cloud area for the past 30 years where she had been a homemaker and member of the White Cloud Church of God Worship Center and attended the 7th Day Baptist Church in White Cloud and. Ida enjoyed knitting and crocheting and donated many hats for children at the hospitals throughout the years. She also enjoyed many crafts, camping, cooking and attending family reunions. Ida had been a community volunteer for many years with Five Cap and had received several citations for her community involvement. Ida is survived by her children, Della Robbins of Fremont; Don Zettle of Cedar Springs; Mike (Deb) Zettle of White Cloud; Faith (Jim) Gugle of Fremont; her step children, Elden (Deb) Harris of Big Rapids; Jim (Penny) Harris of Florida; Bernie (Melinda) Harris of Grant; Deb (Denny) Wright of Newaygo; Connie (Gene) Sutton of Florida; her grandchildren, Cindy Smith, Melissa Zettle, Jim (Jamie) Gugle, Jeremy (Krista) Zettle, Daniel (Amanda) Zettle, Jimmy (Chrystal) Harris, Christy Harris, Monica (Nick) Vasquez, Shannon (Mark) Harris, Ryan Harris, Brianna Harris, Nate Harris, Katelynn DuBois; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; her brothers, Roy Dumont of Flint; Sid (Charlotte) Dumont of Newaygo; Dave (Ann) Dumont of Newaygo; Ken Dumont of Wisconsin; many nieces and nephews. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Della Dumont; her husband, Eldon Harris; her brother, Rolland Dumont; sister, Betty King; daughter-in-law, Diane Zettle; grandson, Adam DuBois; great grandson, Jeremiah Smith.
