Ida Grace Kroepel, age 85 of Hesperia, passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening, July 6, 2009 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Grace was born on January 28, 1924 in Aetna to Edgar and Leta (Maynard) Fox and moved to the Hesperia in 1946. She has been a lifelong resident of the area where she had been a waitress at the Anchor House in Hesperia for 16 years until her retirement. Grace met and later married Arthur Pete Kroepel on January 26, 1946 in Hesperia. Grace enjoyed flower gardening, walking and especially treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grace also attended the Hesperia Presbyterian Church. Grace is survived by her husband of 63 years, Arthur Pete Kroepel of Hesperia; Lyndy (Wayne) Wygant of Hesperia; Sandy (Sonny) Kroepel of Hesperia; her grandchildren, Scott (Stephanie) Kroepel of Hesperia; Stephanie (Larry) Schmitz of Hesperia; Tisha (Ray) Wygant of Hesperia; 6 great grandchildren, Meradith Grace; Gavin; Riese; Camilla Grace; Hudson; Avery. She was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Lee Gerdes. VISITATION : Friday, July 10, 2009 from 5-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel.
