DeYoung, Irene Grace Irene Grace DeYoung, age 88 of Fremont, Michigan and Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away March 30, 2007 at the Zephyrhills Health and Rehab Center in Zephyrhills, Florida. Irene was born on January 28, 1919 in Paris, Michigan to Justus and Lillian (Kitchen) Chapman and married Maynard DeYoung on November 25, 1942 in Muskegon, Michigan. Irene has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont area and spent many winters in Zephyrhills after her retirement. Irene worked at Shaw Walker in Muskegon for 10 years and then owned and operated Irenes Beauty Shop in Holton for 25 years until her retirement. She enjoyed painting and was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church in Fremont. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Maynard of Fremont; her son, Leonard (Linda) DeYoung of Three Rivers, Michigan; her grandchildren, Lori (Tracy) Bilven, Lawrence DeYoung, Lathan (Chelsea) DeYoung; her great grand daughter, Katelyn Bilven. She was preceded in death by her sister, Opal DeWitte. Funeral memorial services were held on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel.
