Irene Rosalie Freudenstein, age 93, of Holton went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 23, 2016. Irene was born on October 6, 1923, in the White Cloud area to John and Catherine (Kosmedier) Babula and married Carl A. Freudenstein on June 23, 1962, at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Muskegon. Irene was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Brunswick and active in many Church activities until her health declined.

Irene is survived by her children, Gary Freudenstein of Holton, Wayne Freudenstein of Holton, and Paul (Sherri) Freudenstein of Fremont; grandchildren, Ashley and Brendon; and a niece and nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl in 1987; and her sisters and brother, Violet Babula, Sophia Babula, and John Babula.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, October 28, 2016, at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Brunswick with Rev. Father Peter C. Schafer. There will be a Rosary prior to the Mass at the Church. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Holton. There will be a time of visitation at St. Michael's Catholic Church prior to the Mass starting at 9 am. For a more lasting memorial, friends are asked to consider the St. Michael's Catholic Church.
