Ivan E. Jones, age 75 of Grand Rapids, formerly of White Cloud, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014. Ivan was born on May 2, 1938 in White Cloud to Edward D. and Cleo B. (Nusbaum) Jones and graduated from White Cloud High School. Ivan later married Mary Louise Harshberger on April 2, 1960 in Goshen, Indiana. Ivan had owned and operated Edws Motor Shop in Fremont and later became a Master Electrician working in Newaygo County for many years and enjoyed helping his friends and neighbors with electrical projects. Ivan enjoyed music, singing and volunteering with the American Red Cross and the Mennonite Disaster Services. Ivan is survived by Mary, his children, Bruce (Melissa) Jones of Goshen, Indiana; Dale (Donna) Jones of Greenwood, Delaware; Julie (Tom) Kuhns of White Cloud; Sheila (Warren) Gingerich of Newaygo; 12 grandchildren; his sisters and brother, Carol Ann (Howard) Burkholder of White Cloud; Ila Jones of White Cloud; Roger (Dee) Jones of Grand Rapids; Ruth (Clyde) Stoner of Scottdale, Pennsylvania; 15 nieces and nephews. Ivan was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Jones. VISITATION : Friday, March 7, 2014 from 10:30 12pm at the White Cloud Mennonite Church with FUNERAL SERVICES at 12pm at the church.
