Hubbel, Julia Louise J. Louise Hubbel, age 76 of Holton, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2005 at her home following a long illness. Louise was born on September 26, 1928 in Muskegon to Perl and Ellen (Ackerman) Pierce. She grew up in Muskegon and later met and married Ralph V. Hubbel on October 4, 1946 in Muskegon. Louise and Ralph later moved to Arizona for several years and eventually moved back to the Holton area 20 years ago. She enjoyed country music, watching birds, gardening at her home, was an outdoor naturalist, and had enjoyed crocheting. She is survived by her children, Margaret Keiper of Marshall, Michigan; Jack Hubbel of Burton; Charles (Sandra) Hubbel of Montague; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph on March 24, 2002; by her daughter-in-law, Nellie Hubbel on February 16, 2002 and by her son-in-law, Gale Keiper on July 5, 2002. Memorial graveside services were held in the spring at Solom Township Cemetery with family and friends presiding following her wishes of cremation.
