Jack R. Barnhill, age 75 of White Cloud, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at his home at Robinson Lake. Jack was born on March 25, 1936 to William and Ada (Knapp) Barnhill in Muskegon and joined the United States Air Force at a young age. Jack served in the Air Force for 21 years and retired as a Technical Sergeant after 21 years of service. Jack married Dolores Phillips on June 22, 1957 in White Cloud and Dolores preceded him in death on April 4, 2009. After his discharge from the military, Jack returned to White Cloud where he purchased White Cloud Auto, which later became Jack & Dees Auto Parts until his retirement in 2000. Jack enjoyed fishing, watching sports and making S.O.S. on Sunday mornings for his family. Jack is survived by his children, Pat (Charlie) Nash of Vandalia, Michigan; Jack Doug (Karen) Barnhill of Jack & Dees Auto Parts in Newaygo; Susan (Delbert) Kuhns of White Cloud; Julie (Ethan) Ebenstein of Comstock Park; 11 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughter and 1 great grandchild due later in 2011; his brother, William Barnhill of Indianapolis, Indiana; his sister, Barbara Trosclair of White Cloud; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gloria & Everett Rein of Edwardsville, Illinois; his aunt, Marian Gary of Whitehall; several cousins including, Sharon Shell of Hesperia; brother and sister-in-laws, Butch & Mary Phillips of White Cloud. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores and by his daughter, Debra Chupp in 2001. Following his wishes, no services will be held at this time following cremation. Friends may consider memorial contributions in memory of Jack to Heartland Hospice. Arrangements by Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel.
