Jack A. Crandell, age 79 of Fremont, passed away January 22, 1995 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Jack was born on July 4, 1915 in Fremont to Richard A. and Berda May (Whitney) Crandell and married Marguerite Egelston on May 30, 1937 in Indiana. Marguerite preceded him in death on March 31, 1992. Jack had been lifelong resident of the Fremont Area where he owned and operated Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont and White Cloud Chapel and also Crandell Furniture until his retirement. He was a member of the Fremont United Methodist Church; charter member of the Fremont Rotary Club; member of the Michigan Funeral Directors Association and served on the Old State Bank Board of Directors from 1958-1985. He is survived by one son, Richard A. (Phyllis) Crandell of Fremont; 3 grandchildren, Scott (Elizabeth) Crandell of Fremont; Curt (Sandra) Crandell of White Cloud; Julie Carten Crandell of Douglas, Michigan; 7 great grandchildren, Olivia & Zachary Crandell; Rachele, Jordan and Calvin Crandell; Leah and Aaron Carten Crandell. Funeral services were held on January 25, 1995 from the Fremont United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Duncan presiding with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
