John "Jack" Miller, age 74, of White Cloud passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at his home. Jack was born on September 10, 1943, in Grand Haven to John C. and Frieda (Johnson) Miller and later married Janice Hagelgans on August 16, 1978. Jack had owned and operated Miller and Smith Plating Company in the Spring Lake area. Jack was a member of the White Cloud Eagles, Fraternal Order of Moose, Ducks Unlimited, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, and playing guitar and singing. Jack is survived by his daughters, Debra (Paul) Griswold of Muskegon, Ann (Dru) Trace of Ohio, and Cynthia (John) Appel of Nunica; grandchildren, Diane, Bryan, Tayler, Riley, Ashley, and Cody; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Dave (Alanna) Miller of Arizona; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Jane Miller of Spring Lake. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice and brother, Dan Miller. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, January 5, 2018, at the Crandell Funeral Home in White Cloud with Pastor Joshua Chittenden officiating. (1109 Court St. White Cloud, MI 49349). Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 11 AM – 1 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the White Cloud Eagles Building Fund.
