Jack William Shively, age 62 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Jack was born on January 1, 1959 in Fremont to Harvey and Rose (Pogue) Shively and later married Nancy Jane Host on November 3, 1979 in Fremont. Jack has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont area where he had worked for several companies as a welder until his retirement. Jack enjoyed welding and fabricating and was known for his eye to "if he sees it, he can build it" and built trailers, welded flowers, and also enjoyed restoring barns.
Jack is survived by his wife Nancy Jane of Fremont; his grandchildren, Mercedes Lane Carr and Alana Lynn Carr-Stevens; his sisters and brothers, Rosemary Estes, Michael Shively, Debra (Garry) Rottman, Linda White, Sally (Xavier) Perez, Mark (Lyn) Shively; several sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-laws; many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his children, Jack Daniel Shively, Geneva Mae Shively, his parents, Harvey and Rose Shively; his brother, Earl Shively; his sisters, Patricia Shively and Katherine LaNore.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 1-4pm at the home of Junior and Esther Davis, 5308 S. Croswell Ave Fremont MI 49412.
