Jack C. Wolvin, age 74 of White Cloud, formerly of Jackson, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at his home. Jack was born on January 2, 1940 in Grand Rapids to Albert Charles and Evelyn (Sharlow) Wolvin. He father Albert passed away when Jack was 3 years old and his mother married Ralph Waldo who raised Jack as his son. Jack joined the United States Army at an early age and served during the Post Korean era. After his discharge, he married Henriette Graffa on August 12, 1960 in Jackson. Jack worked as a machine operator and in the maintenance department at Die Cast in Jackson until his retirement in 2001 and later moved to the White Cloud area in 2005. Jack was a member of the White Cloud Eagles and the Michigan Center Eagles, enjoyed bowling, raising animals, deer hunting, was a MSU fan, and always had a joke to tell. Jack was always willing to lend a hand, truly enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and Jack and Henriette always had a space in their home for family members. Jack is survived by his wife of 54 years, Henriette of White Cloud; his children, Steve (Terri) Wolvin; Connie (Joe) Hamp; Scott Wolvin; Lance (Laurie) Wolvin; Jackie (Mark) Bostwick all of Jackson; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; his sisters and brothers, Pat (May) Waldo of White Cloud; Bob (Linda) Waldo of Jackson; Jimmy (Lynn) Waldo of White Cloud; Nancy Wagoner of Jackson; Norma Waldo of Jackson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack was preceded in death by his sister, Diane and his brother, Kenny. Following Jacks wishes, cremation has taken place and burial will take place later at the Roseland Cemetery in Jackson.
