Jackalyn J. "Jackie" Yob, age 83 of Fremont, formerly of Hesperia, Ada, and Kalkaska, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Green Acres Assisted Living Center in Fremont. Jackie was born on August 20, 1938 in Clawson, Michigan to Maurice and Dorothy (Darke) Krepps and graduated from Kalkaska High School in 1956 where she was active in many school activities. Jackie met and later married Charles Yob on August 22, 1959 at Christ The King Catholic Church in Hesperia. Jackie and Charles had lived in the Ada for 30 years then moved back to Hesperia for 12 years and then moved to Fremont. Jackie had attended college training to be a flight stewardess, later worked as a teller in South Bend, Indiana and had been a homemaker. Jackie was a fantastic wife and mother who truly enjoyed cooking, baking and being involved in all aspects of her family. The true loves in Jackie's life were - her family, dancing, and taking care of others. She also enjoyed spending time with grandchildren, crocheting, flower gardening, traveling, gaming, being active in the water sport – water skiing, swimming, and was involved in sports throughout her lifetime. Jackie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles W. Yob of Fremont; her children, Charles W. (Shirley) Yob Jr. of Belmont; Richard D. Yob of Salida, Colorado; Randy W. (Sandy) Yob of Lowell; Ronald E. (Sara) Yob of Lake Oswego, Oregon; Gina (Dennis) Pellegrini of Hersey, Michigan; John P. (Erica) Yob of St. John, US Virgin Islands; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; her sister, Janet Keel of Kalkaska; many loving nieces and nephews. Jackie was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Hannah Marie Yob; her parents, Maurice and Dorothy; her brothers, Ron Krepps and Bob Krepps.
