Jacquelyn "Jackie" Delores Pfishner, age 89 of Croton, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Jackie was born on March 29, 1931, in Hart to Dick and Amy Schmiedeknect and later married Chester Eugene Pfishner on June 30, 1950, in Scottville. Together they celebrated 64 years of marriage. Jackie enjoyed reading, mystery movies, fishing, birdwatching, flowers, and took special joy in family activities. Jackie is survived by her children, Diane Nelson of Croton; Chester William Pfishner of Elkhart, Indiana; Robin Dee Cook of Newaygo; Kimberly Kay Goins of White Cloud; and Rocky Eugene Pfishner of Croton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Bonnie, Denise, Sharon, Bo, Garth, and Tina; and several nieces and nephews. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Chester in 2014; daughter, Jan Pfishner Cook in 2012; son-in-law, Dan Nelson; daughter-in-law, Joni Pfishner; and brother and sister, Harry and Grace. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020, starting at 1 PM, at the Hardy Beach. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Pfishner family to assist with expenses.
