James F. Atwater, age 60 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 at his home following a short illness. Jim was born February 9, 1953 in Fremont to James William and Hazel Irene (Milner) Atwater and graduated from White Cloud High School. Jim later married Linda Ladner in 1981 in Big Rapids and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and socializing with friends. James had worked at Howmet in Muskegon for 20 years and later became a finisher at Howmet in Whitehall in 2005. Jim is survived by his wife, Linda of White Cloud; his sons, Robert Atwater, Jeff Atwater, and Chris Atwater all of White Cloud; his grandchildren, Dinnialee Atwater and Robert Joseph Atwater; his brothers and sister, James (Henrietta) Mead of Cedar Springs; Paul Mead of Melvern, Arkansas; Verna Lavender of Washington; several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Hazel and by his sister, Evelyn Rose Dore. VISITATION : Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel.
