James W. Britt, age 66 of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008 at his home following a long illness. Jim was born on August 26, 1941 in Grand Rapids to Raymond and Clara (Precop) Britt and has been a resident of the White Cloud area for the past 40 years. Jim met and later married Maribel Lopez on June 9, 1990 in White Cloud and enjoyed hunting and fishing, the Michigan outdoors, and was a life member of the NRA. Jim had been a truck driver for West Michigan National Nail Company in Grand Rapids until his retirement in 2003. He is survived by his loving wife, Maribel of White Cloud; his children, Ramon (Linda) Cotto Jr. of Grand Rapids; Maria (Raul) Rodriguez of Grand Rapids; Miguel A. Cotto of Grand Rapids; Joey Cotto of Vera Beach, FL; 11 grandchildren; his sister, Joan Lahr of Spring Lake; special nephew, Tony Lahr of Spring Lake; his aunt, Cecelia. A Time of Remembrance was held on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel.
