James P. Hardy, age 91, of Newaygo passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2010, at his home. James was born on November 10, 1919, in Kearny, New Jersey, to Michael and Ellen (McScravick) Hardy and was a mechanic. James is survived by many nieces and nephews, including John H. Weisneck, Thomas Weisneck, Rita Matthews-Johnson, and Mary J. Hardy; and special friend Helen Weisneck. He was preceded in death by his brother and sisters, Kathleen Conklin, Joseph Hardy, and Elizabeth Weisneck. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.
